Funding
Even as federal programs wind down, Nova Scotians still have access to incredible local financing options that make going solar more affordable than ever.
Through the Clean Energy Financing Program, homeowners in 12 participating municipalities can access low-interest loans — some as low as 1% — for up to $40,000, with repayment terms ranging from 10 to 15 years.

This means you can install solar panels now, start saving immediately, and pay it off gradually through your property tax bill, often with monthly payments lower than your old power costs.

Participating Municipalities:
Halifax (SolarCity) · Amherst · Bridgewater · District of Yarmouth · Cumberland County · East Hants · District of Lunenburg · Victoria County · District of Barrington · District of Chester · District of Digby · Inverness County · Town of New Glasgow
